Today is yet another sad day

Bethany Landry Lynn McKee
Wrongfully convicted of two (2) counts of 1st degree murder with  zero evidence at the age of 20. Because she was at the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people. The state of Illinois calls this the accountability law. This needs to be changed. This happened in January of 2013 and today she was transported from the Will county adult detention facility to Logan correctional center to begin serving her natural life sentence. Today is yet another very sad day for all involved.

  1. Keep fighting. Although I totally am disgusted by what happened, I was in Will County Jail with both Alisa and Bethany, and the sentences should be switched. Alisa was cocky and thought what they did was hilarious. Bethany was quiet, and clearly sorrowful. It's a shame that things happen this way.

  2. Thank you, It's sad for what the state and the judge has taught this evil individual, You can do sick and perverted acts against society and even have involvement in murder but with a slap on the wrist you can get away with it. I personally feel that if they would have given her ten years in a institution to where she could actually get some treatment she would most likely feel different of her actions.

  3. Mr. McKee I have followed this case since it happen and to be honest Bethany was the one made out to be the one that lured Terrance, however it seems that is not the case. I am a mother of a 23 year old who at age 19 served 22 months at Graham Correctional because he did not call the police. My son was with two individuals one was his friend and the other was his friends cousin who flew down from another state to celebrate cousin birthday. Well his friend was feeling sorry for himself that its his birthday and he could not celebrate because he was broke he decided to go for a walk and my son and friends cousin followed him. They ran into some individuals that unfortunately the birthday boy decided to rob and he pulled out a knife which at that point is considered a Class X Felony. The birthday boy got a phone and a necklace but because my son did not call the police he is the one that ended going to prison while the other two got 5 months boot camp, I could not believe that this happened the main person who had the knife only boot camp.

The other thing is that the birthday boy who told my son he was going to give the judge a letter to state that my son didn't even know that he was going to rob someone, it was not planned but something that happen when he saw the individuals he acted on impulse but that my son didn't have anything to do with this but the birthday boy wanted to make sure that his case was going okay before providing a letter to judge. He did provide the letter but the very last day when all three would know what there sentence would be which was to late, my son's sentence was 5 years, yes I said 5 years for robbery of a cell phone and necklace. Although my son was not involved in the robbery his 5 year sentence was for not calling the police. So I guess I'm blown away that Alisa received 5 years for her part in this horrific crime were a murder took place and my son received the same sentence for robbery by another person. As well as we found out later that the investigator who interviewed the birthday boy so happened to be the best man at my wedding that he shared with my ex and I that the birthday boy could not be trusted he made my son look bad but did not want my son to know that, that is why he kept mentioning this letter he was going to present to the judge. So I guess Alisa must have made your daughter look bad some how for her to have received the deal she did which is a joke being that it obviously seemed she not no care in the world having sex on top of dead bodies. Unfortunately we had a Public defender Kristine H. who we should have fired due to her comment in the beginning to my son was that he would be lucky to get 10 years.

I also want to mention that I am a paralegal student and I mentioned to my teacher regarding Alisa sentence, my teacher stated they may know someone so maybe not Alisa to much but her dad. It would make sense since that is another thing I'm having a hard time with how can it have happen at her house and her dad there but yet only 5 years REALLY.
