I have asked Bethany's attorney for all files that pertain to Bethany's case, I thought that since My wife and I are the ones that are paying him we are deserving of them. If I could get these files then it would make it so much easier to get the actual facts out to the public not just my views of the case. But it seems that he doesn't want to give anything to me. Is there any advise on what I can do to get these files?

  1. Have yiu tried to get actual police reports? As far as your question I'm a paralegal student I will ask my teacher who happens to be an attorney and will get back to you. Just so you know I do feel that there should be consequences for Bethany but not life who should have life is Alisa. Just wanted you to know this.

  2. Thank you, I believe that Bethany should be held accountable, but not murder. The state could have charged her with other crimes but instead dropped those charges and pushed for murder. I believe they did this because of the deal that they made with alisa. I look forward to any info that you could provide. Again thank you.

  3. Even though you are paying for Bethany's attorney he is representing your daughter, hence attorney client privilege. Your daughter, Bethany, I believe, would need to give her attorney permission to release the records to you. She may not really want you to see everything that is in there, and I doubt you would get any of the attorneys notes. You would probably fair better to try getting the transcripts and any documents filed with the court through the clerk of the court, or have a 2nd attorney talk to Bethany about looking into it. More money, more money. With that said. . . your daughter made several very bad judgement calls that day and I doubt anything you do will lessen her sentence. Hard to accept? Yes. You all need to move forward the best you can for her and your family. Visit regularly.
